Report: EU ambassadors fail to coordinate new Russian sanctions

MOSCOW, Feb 16 (PRIME) -- The E.U. ambassadors failed to coordinate the 10th round of anti-Russian sanctions on Wednesday, with sanctions against imports of synthetic rubber being one of the controversial points, newswire Politico reported on Thursday quoting documents.

Italy and Germany are skeptical about the ides of imposing sanctions on imports of Russian synthetic rubber, while Poland supported the measure.

European Commission’s President Ursula von der Leyen said on Wednesday that the authority had put forward a new, 11 billion euro package of sanctions against Russia. The measures should expand trade restrictions and blacklist new banks and companies.
